Vineyard Cottage
We are dog owners ourselves so understand the difficulty when you want to find a holiday where you can take your dogs away with you. To this end we are pleased to provide to our fellow dog owners our award winning Vineyard Cottage. A place offering luxury to the human and full doggy friendly status – with none of the rules you sometimes find. The enclosed (fully fenced) mature garden will keep your loved ones safe whilst you yourself enjoys a bite to eat Al fresco style. There are 2 private double bedrooms which can cater for up to 4 guests. There are no limits to the number of dogs who can stay.
Here on the farm, we have acres where you can enjoy a dog walk along the grassy meadows and a fully working English vineyard. In 2023 we were thrilled to be featured in the Guardian Newspaper, as one of the top 20 places to stay for owners of dogs. The cottage and farm are on the quiet edge of the village and has oodles of modern comforts and style.
A different and easy walk from the door is possible or you can drive to an amazing variety of different dog friendly beaches and local walks each day. You are welcome to enjoy the orchard picnic area with the use of a vintage picnic hamper too. A wildlife pond and meadow with firepit area has also been added for guests to enjoy. Weaver Way is a short walk from the cottage and offers miles of dog friendly walking along the old railway line.
For guests with an electric vehicle then we have a fast charging point next to the cottage (charges vary).
Please do not take our word for it though (we are possibly biased) – our many previous guests have been fabulous and have written a plethora of super reviews and many are returning soon. We very much look forward to seeing more satisfied guests in 2025 and onwards.

Our doggy guests will be spoilt and hope to have the following:
- A truly dog friendly place to stay and to enjoy with hardly a rule to bind you by
- The exterior doggy shower (with cold water) area with spray hose can be used for a freshen up
- A selection of different sized dog crates provided on request – small/medium or XXLarge
- Some Dog treats, dog bowls, dog towels, dog throws, dog toys/balls, a small dog bed and doggy throws are provided for sofa and beds can be provided on request.
- There is a mature and fully enclosed secure and private garden with up to 6ft high fencing but still with great views across the fields
- A plethora of amazing and quiet countryside walks right from the cottage doorstep. The infamous Weavers Way is 500m walk away and a mass of sand covered beach walks a short drive away.
Our Guests will also be treated to the following
- All our guests are welcome to wander throughout the 6 acre farm and take in the small but perfectly formed Vineyard, the dedicated picnic area in the apple orchard, the wildlife pond, camping meadow and kitchen garden – the big skies and sunsets are something to savour
- A private parking area for 2 cars (3 if needed)
- 11kw electric vehicle charging unit at price saving low charging rates
- Washing and dishwasher detergents, kitchen paper and toilet rolls
- Electricity and heating
- Egyptian cotton bed linen and piles of fluffy towels
- A fine selection of speciality teas, coffees, hot chocolate, milk
- Tassimo coffee machine and cafetiere for fresh coffee making
- A welcome pack of some goodies – biscuits, pint of milk and bottle of something
- A super useful information file about the cottage and the surrounding area
- Maps, Walking books and local history guides
- A selection of board games, puzzles and reading books
- An air conditioning unit or tower fans (by request)

- A flatscreen smart TV which is Netflix and Prime (etc) enabled
